Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Miconix processes information when a merchant installs and uses the app.
1. Scope and contact
This policy applies to the Miconix Shopify application and its related support services. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to support@eu.consentkeep.com. Shopify merchants remain responsible for their own customer-facing privacy notices and lawful use of marketing communications.
2. Information we process
- Merchant and installation data: shop domain, installation/session records, granted scopes, plan and billing status, sender name, reply-to email, and configuration.
- Customer data: Shopify customer identifier, first name, email address, and email marketing consent status.
- Commerce events: relevant order identifiers, order number, currency, value, product names, timestamps, cancellation state, refund events, and return lifecycle events.
- Automation records: segment rules and membership, email content, delivery status, provider identifier, generated discount codes, usage counters, and transparent correlation/recovery measurements.
- Support information: feedback message, optional contact email, status, and operational logs necessary to investigate a problem.
Miconix does not intentionally store customer payment-card details, account passwords, or full customer shipping addresses.
3. Why we process information
We use this information only to authenticate the merchant, detect configured order/refund/return conditions, maintain segments, send consent-aware messages, create optional customer-targeted discounts, enforce plan limits, display delivery and recovery records, provide support, prevent abuse, and comply with valid privacy requests.
4. Email marketing consent
Automatic customer email requires an email address and Shopify email marketing consent reported as SUBSCRIBED. Miconix records delivery failures and skips messages that do not satisfy eligibility checks. Merchants are responsible for configuring lawful content, sender information, and a valid business address.
5. Service providers and disclosures
Information is shared only as needed with Shopify for installation, events, billing, and discounts; Resend for email delivery; and hosting, database, security, and monitoring providers used to operate Miconix. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the service, or as part of a business reorganization subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information.
6. Retention and deletion
Customer, order, refund, and return records are retained while the app is installed so its configured automations can operate. Delivery records, merchant feedback, fulfilled privacy-request metadata, and pseudonymous personal-data access audit records are retained for no more than 12 months. Webhook receipts and test-email audit records are retained for no more than 30 days. Staging test transaction and customer data is retained for no more than 30 days. Operational logs without customer content and encrypted backups are scheduled for deletion after 30 days.
Uninstalling Miconix immediately pauses segments and stops queued messages. Miconix handles Shopify's mandatory customer data request, customer redaction, and shop redaction webhooks. Valid redaction requests remove the relevant active application records; isolated backup copies are not used for normal processing and expire under the 30-day backup-retention schedule.
7. Security
Miconix uses Shopify authentication and verified webhooks, encrypted HTTPS connections, restricted database access, isolated database namespaces, secret management, delivery idempotency, rate limits, and access controls intended to protect information. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. International processing
Service providers may process information in countries other than the merchant's or customer's country. Where required, appropriate contractual or legal safeguards should be used for such transfers.
9. Individual rights
Customers should normally contact the Shopify merchant from whom they purchased. Miconix supports merchants and Shopify in responding to access and deletion requests. Depending on applicable law, individuals may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of their information.
10. Changes
We may update this policy when the service or legal requirements change. The updated date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate product or support channel.
